Cooked cinnamon apples for littles
Ok so never in a million years did I think I’d be styling food pics with tiny pieces of cooked apple, for a baby. LOL
But I am and I love it.
Jack is almost 10 months (WTF!!!) and he is getting down and dirty with feeding himself and experimenting with new foods. If you follow me on instagram you probably get the daily check in for what this vegan baby is eating for the day.
I wanted to make him something quick and I knew it had to be something he could gum. The kids only got 4 teeth.
I always take a piece of the food I am about to give Jack and see if I can mash it with my tongue and the roof of my mouth. It just makes me feel better.
You always want to buy ORGANIC apples if you can. Apples and strawberries are known to have the highest levels of pesticides.
Here are just a FEW of the amazing benefits that apple's possess: Apples contain phytonutrients that can help you regulate your blood sugar, they are full of vitamin C antioxidants and potassium.
All these amazing things are so great for our little babes.
I started to boil a pot of water and while that began to boil I peeled and cut up an apple in less than 4 minutes. Once the water boiled I threw in the peeled apple and let is cook for 12-15 minutes until super tender. I then cut up the cooked apple into small pieces about the size of a cheerio and sprinkled lightly with cinnamon.
I waited for them to cool just a few minutes and gave them to Jack and he ate them all! He loved it!
I hope your little love enjoys this recipe too!
